As high school students are gaining more independence and becoming young adults, we want to support that faith and identity formation that is happening with their families, classmates, and friends. We want to support students and families to grow in faith together during their high school years. Many of our high school events and opportunities happen through our partnership with Trinity and King of Glory, our partner ELCA congregations in Loveland. This partnership is called L2F2 and provides richer opportunities for Faith Formation. If you have questions about any of these events, please contact info@zionloveland.com.
HS Coffee: On the first Sunday of the month, high school students gather for coffee together at 9:30 am. After a time of warm (or cold) drinks, eating and hanging out together, we all go to the second worship service at 10:45 to conclude our morning with worship.
Sunday School: On Sundays when there isn’t HS Coffee, we meet for Sunday School in the high school youth room from 9:40-10:40. Along with trusted adults, our high school students explore important questions and topics of faith and life together.
High School Events: periodically throughout the year there are fun social and service events for high school students like an escape room, lawn game night, mini golf or serving at Community Kitchen. Our students have a blast hanging out with one another! Because these events happen periodically throughout the year, check out the bulletin or the newsletter to see what is coming up.
Summer Trip: Each summer L2F2 offers a high school summer experience. These opportunities rotate between a Lutheran national/reginal gathering, service-learning trips, and adventure trips. In past years, Zion students have done service learning experiences in Idaho and Lame Deer Montana and attended the national youth gathering in Houston.
