Middle School and High School
Zion has a strong history of Youth and Family Ministry. This is a key component of our congregational mission and ministry.
Children and families are integral to all aspect of our life together. Children and families are encouraged to attend worship together. We have a staffed nursery and cry room available for those who desire.
Youth are invited to participate in a variety of weekend retreats throughout the year. These include regional youth gatherings, topical studies, service emersion, and fellowship retreats. Typically we have 3-4 middle school retreats and 2-3 high school retreats annually.

Intergenerational Fellowship Gatherings
Throughout the year all ages are invited to participate in activities of fun and fellowship including Faith Day at the Rockies, Summerfest Pool Night, Movie Night with dinner at the church, Game Night with dinner at the church, just to name a few.
Youth Community Building Activities
We offer a variety of opportunities for middle school and high school youth to grow in relationship together and support each other. These include Movie Nights in homes, Lock-Ins at the church, and a monthly High School Breakfast on Sunday Mornings.
Faith develops through Caring Conversations with authentic adults. In order to facilitate this faith development in our confirmation students, they are paired with a congregational member as a mentor and time is intentionally created to facilitate these conversations.
High School Mission Trip
We offer an annual trip for youth entering 9th grade through completion of 12th grade. Recent mission trip sites include Red Mesa, Arizona; Red Lake, Minnesota; and Detroit, Michigan. Various fundraisers are held throughout the year to help our families afford these amazing service filled experiences.
We encourage children and adults to participate in Faith Formation activities.
