Middle School is a time of growth and learning about life and identity. During this pivotal time in our students’ lives we want to seek to support them and their faith growth. Beyond Confirmation we offer many different opportunities for Middle School Students ranging from overnight retreats to fun social activities. Many of these events are hosted as a part of Loveland Lutheran Faith Formation (L2F2)—a partnership with other ELCA congregations in Loveland. If you have questions about any of these events please reach out to info@zionloveland.com. We would love to hear from you.
Confirmation: Confirmation is an opportunity for our students to affirm the promises that were made for them at their baptism. L2F2 students participate in a three year Confirmation program focusing on Scripture, Lutheran Theology, and Luther’s Small Catechism. There are also retreats and service opportunities built into the Confirmation Curriculum. Confirmation is celebrated each year on Reformation Sunday. Confirmation is not about knowing all of the right answers, but instead, an opportunity to ask questions, learn from one another, and grow in our relationship’s with God.
Confirmation Camp: Each summer Middle School students are encouraged to participate in Sky Ranch’s Confirmation Intensive Camp. This camp is offered exclusively to middle school students and offers an immersive experience in a different Bible Story each summer. https://www.skyranchcolorado.org
Sunday School: Middle School Sunday School meets most Sundays during the school year in between worship services from 9:40-10:40. They meet in the Middle School Room downstairs and will be using the Re:form curriculum that invites them to consider questions like “Did God write the Bible?,” “What if my friends aren’t Christian?” and “Why does God let bad things happen?”
