Zion Lutheran Church offers a variety of support groups for members. Below are some of the currently active groups.
We have a variety of ways to care for each other in difficult times.
Parish Nurses – have monthly blood pressure clinics and take people to doctor’s appointments
Helping Homes – assists older members of the congregation with home repairs
Meals to Heal – provides meals to people who are ill, grieving, or just had a baby
Home Communion Ministers – take communion to homebound members once a month
Care Calls – monthly phone call to members to help them stay connected
Journeying Through Grief – mailings throughout the first year of the death of a loved one
Grief Support Groups – small groups that gather for 4- 6 weeks and support each other in times of grief and loss
Stephen Ministers – provide one on one weekly support for those in need of a listening ear (see Stephen Ministry page for more information about this ministry)
Local Community Projects – (see our Serve page for the many ways we care for those in need in our broader community)
Reach out to the church office if you are in need of any of these ministries or would like to share your gifts and serve in these care ministries.
