Ein Feste Burg (A Mighty Fortress)
On Friday, October 20, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., Zion Lutheran Church will sponsor, in collaboration with conductors Noelle Bauman, Jeremy Cuebas, and Adam A Torres, Ein Feste Burg (A Mighty Fortress), a concert to commemorate the Quincentennial anniversary of the Reformation. This is a project that has been years in the making, and we are blessed to be able to present this opportunity this fall at Zion. The choirs from King of Glory, Trinity, and Zion will be singing along with a full orchestra.
Admission to the concert is free, though a freewill donation is suggested. It is my hope that the energy and resources being put into Ein Feste Burg can be a catalyst for future iterations of the Zion Festival Orchestra.
The Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Choir Loft during the regular worship season. Our Chancel Choir leads our Traditional worship services throughout the season and provides special music and offerings during worship.
The band rehearses every Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 pm (except on the Tuesday before the third Sunday). The band is central to the Contemporary worship services.
